Who Would The Mane Point Like to Meet During Derby Week 2010?

The 2010 Kentucky Derby,  will take place on Saturday, May 1st at Churchill Downs, in Louisville, Kentucky ...

... and The Mane Point will be there for the Run for the Roses.

The Mane Point will attend and cover the 2010 Kentucky Derby at Louisville’s Churchill Downs on May 1st

In fact, we will be participating in several Derby Week events (including the Pegasus Parade) and viewing additional races (such as the Kentucky Oaks).

Although we hope to interview key players, there is one figure we absolutely hope to meet and greet - and she's back at Churchill Downs.

Can you guess who it is that The Mane Point would like to see, based on these photos?

She's a fabulously fine and fast filly, a true all-American thoroughbred, with the star and stripe on her face. (Some have called it an inverted exclamation point.)

Here's another hint:
She was named 2009 NTRA Horse of the Year.

Look closely at the last photo, if you still cannot identify this thoroughbred horse racing star. Call us star-struck, but we'd love to see this one "in person."
