Please be on the lookout for this lost or stolen horse. "Chief" is an nine-year-old sorrel AQHA gelding, owned by Nate Priefert of Texas.

The roping horse went missing over the Labor Day Weekend during the Chuckwagon Races in Clinton, Arkansas. Insiders believe Chief was stolen around midnight on Friday, September 3rd during the Van Buren County event.

Chief stands at 14.2 hh and weighs approximately 1,100 pounds.

The 2001 gelding's color markings include a wide white blaze (which wraps across his nose), two white stockings (on his hind legs), and a brand on his left hip (a square diamond surrounding a capital "P").Chief also has a three-inch scar on his left hip, which may appear somewhat swollen.

If you think you may know anything about this missing horse, please call the numbers listed on the flyer/photo or click here. The owner, Nate Priefert, is offering a $1,000 reward for the return of this horse.

As a horse owner, I can only send my empathy and hopes that this equine will soon be returned to his rightful owners.
